The Ronald McDonald Kinderfonds in the Netherlands supports families with sick or care-dependent children by keeping them close to each other during hospital stays or intensive treatments. They do this mainly by:

• Providing Ronald McDonald Houses near hospitals, where parents and siblings can stay overnight close to their hospitalized child.
• Offering Family Rooms inside hospitals, where families can rest, eat, or work while remaining near their child.
• Organizing holiday homes for families with a care-intensive child to enjoy a break together in a fully adapted environment.

The foundation operates largely on donations and the help of volunteers, aiming to reduce the emotional and practical burden on families during difficult times.
